> Why Shine Social Club?
Life is much more fun when you can share the great moments together! Shine Social Club is the app for ages 60+ to make friends and meet new people in your area. 

> What is Shine?
Make new friends with the Shine Social Club app & meet up in your area. Exclusively for 60 years and up. Our aim is to bring people together with similar interests and actually meet up spontaneously. Of course, are all your current friends also welcome to join you.

Meeting up can be as simple as going for lunch in the restaurant at the end of the street, or going for a walk in the park nearby. Setting up a date for a movie, or just chatting on the phone. Shine Social Club can be used as you like. Why should you try it out? Well, because enjoying activities together is much more fun. 

> How does it work?
With Shine Social Club you can arrange an activity or just grab a cup of coffee, and 5 minutes later meet up with a neighbour or friend. Set up your profile and get started! The app features a map that shows people and events around your location. 

The map shows members around you and what they would like to do. So, if you see a suggested activity on someone's profile that you would also like to do at that time you can connect and do it together. This way, it’s easy and fast, and it can be even more enjoyable. Because, if we can do the things we like to do with someone else, it might be just a little bit more fun. As a member you can also go to one of the events that are indicated on the map. Or, if you have an idea for an event, organise an event and gather with people who are interested.

Finally, and most importantly, when you find people with similar interests, it is possible to contact them directly within the app using the secure chat function. We do our best to protect your identity and contact details, nonetheless, it is still recommended to be careful with personal information. Please, consider it carefully before sharing personal details with others. When you meet for the first time, it is advised to meet at a public location. To ensure your privacy and security, we have built in a slight deviation in the location. When in doubt about a profile, please report it. We aim to deal with reports within 24 hours.
